I have been on the roads since the age of 16, I started with motorcycles and then moved on to cars at 24.

More recently passing my PCV licence, driving service buses for a while before joining the Ambulance service,

After about 20 years of driving ambulances, including emergency ambulances I took early retirement following an injury at work and decided to become a driving instructor, so here I am. The driving instructors course involves taking the Part 1 & Part 2 tests all over again along with the extra Part 3 Test just for Instructors, therefore I fully understand the pressures placed on learners having taken several driving tests and assessments over the years and run my lessons accordingly, you need to enjoy your lessons not dread them.

Formerly known as GP Driving School - Westhoughton I worked as a trainee instructor for the larger GP group from Sale, Manchester where I gained invaluable experience in teaching whilst on a DVSA Trainee Pink Licence.

I started off with a bright yellow mini, very noticeable around the Westhoughton area. I decided that the BMW mini was a perfect car to teach in and so upgraded to a Mini Cooper which is proving to make my job more enjoyable as they are fun cars to drive!
